What does it cost to get a Private Pilot License?
This is the most common question asked. The answer differs for each student. The FAA minimum and national average for flight time needed to complete the Private Pilot License are shown below. Note, these prices reflect our low rates flying the Piper Colt.
Private Pilot (FAA minimum time)
40 hrs flight time, $5400
20 hrs flight instruction, $900
Study materials and software, $200
Written test and check ride., $1000

Private Pilot (National average)
70 hrs flight time, $9450
30 hrs flight instruction, $1350
5 hrs ground instruction, $125

Written test and check ride. $1000
